Williamston is located in rural northeastern North Carolina on the banks of the Roanoke River near the center of Martin County. The town's population is approximately 5,500 while the county's total population is roughly 25,000. Williamston was founded in 1779, and named after William Williams, a local military commander. Williamston's importance as a town and its growth and development immediately before and after its incorporation was largely based on two factors. First was its location on the banks of a navigable river, and second, its designation as the seat of county government when Martin County was formed in 1774.
Williamston is a unique place filled with residents, businesses and community organizations that care deeply about the place they call home. Jim’s Liquid Waste Hauling LLC is proud to serve those in the Williamston community.
